23/10/09
This morning we went to the local market and bought cheese, fish and olives like proper English tourists in France – somehow I felt like an imposter. We've then spent all afternoon on the beach, playing with clay and generally having a great time. Then we had a driftwood fire on the beach, sharing our fish with our two German friends, Frank and Tomka. We had thought that it was always warm and sunny in these more southerly climes but they said it had been cold, wet and windy for the previous 10 days before we arrived – so far the sun is truly shining on us.

  3. Sounds brilliant. Richard's busy poking sloe's for the sloe gyn. Flossy sat at our feet as we precariously balanced on edge of bank reaching for sloe's with the help of hook on stick. 6 eggs today. Donkey full of beans and injury almost vanished. Pig is being houdini in the field so banished to barn temporarily. Sophie gave us our first French lesson. Ok so we know you don't want to know any of this. Fly free. Bon voyage. 4. Oh My! Hi you guys and I am sat here cracking up looking at your packed car! And that's a nice 'cracking up' - I am feeling very envious and somewhat 'staid' as I sit here in my cubby in my state government office. Mick - how different we are but vive la difference! The photos are wonderful and I can't wait to see more. Stay safe my lovely family, Love you all
